fog.ie has learned that Irish Water are planning on deferring their proposed rollout of a Nationwide FOG Monitoring Programme until at least Q2 of 2021. When it is finally rolled out it will most likely concentrate on larger suburban areas where concentrations of FOG discharges remain an issue; rather than totally countrywide.

IW intend standardising Commercial Discharge Licences nationally from May 1st 2020. There has been a wide variance in Commercial Charges across the country based on an outdated Local Authority model meaning that Charges varied from County to County based on Local rates.
